Tick each item a clinic genuinely meets. As you go, we’ll give you a plain-English read on how reassuring its profile looks — and where to ask harder questions.
1
Credentials & oversight
A registered (AHPRA) doctor is involved in prescribing
Peptides used as medicines require a prescription from a registered practitioner.
A pharmacist dispenses any medicines
Dispensing is a pharmacist’s role — not a salesperson’s.
The clinic has a real Australian address and identifiable practitioners
Anonymous or offshore-only operations are a warning sign.
2
Products & legality
Products are ARTG-registered medicines or lawfully compounded
Ask whether what you’re given is on the ARTG or compounded to your prescription.
The clinic can explain the legal access pathway
A legitimate clinic can name the pathway (prescription, SAS, Authorised Prescriber).
No “research only / not for human use” products are involved
This label means the product is not a lawful therapeutic good.
3
Claims & evidence
Claims are measured and match the actual evidence
Be wary of cure-all language or guaranteed outcomes.
Risks, side effects and unknowns are discussed openly
Honest clinicians talk about what isn’t known.
No guaranteed or dramatic results are promised
Guarantees are a marketing tactic, not a clinical one.
4
Commercials & pressure
Pricing is transparent and provided up front
Hidden or “package only” pricing is a red flag.
There’s no pressure to buy on the spot or in bulk
Urgency and bulk discounts push volume, not care.
You’re not sold product without a genuine consultation
Supply should follow assessment, not precede it.
Hard red flags — walk away
Sells peptides with “no prescription required” Uses “research only” or “not for human consumption” products Promises guaranteed or dramatic results Pressures you to buy on the spot or in bulk Can’t or won’t name the legal access pathway
